Keeping in view the new Covid-19 strain, all repatriation flights from the India had been cancelled till 30 April 2021. As of 01 May 2021, flights have resumed subject to mandatory RT-PCR testing of passengers at the airport.

The Government of India has extended the nation-wide lockdown until 30 April 2021. The Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, had started domestic flight operations in India from 25 May 2020, albeit in a calibrated manner. To ensure that airlines do not charge excessive fare, the government has classified sectors on the basis of the approximate duration of flights; the list of their minimum and maximum fares chargeable can be found here.
